1. Scope and our commitment
This policy applies to the PauseFeed Android app and this website. PauseFeed helps you create a brief pause before opening apps you have selected. It does not require a PauseFeed account and has no cloud sync, advertising SDK, or third-party behavioral analytics SDK.
2. Data processed on your device
The following information is stored locally or handled temporarily on your Android device:
- Selected apps: package names and app labels for apps you choose to pause.
- Foreground detection: the package name needed to determine whether a selected app has opened. It is evaluated on the device.
- Pause activity: the app, timestamp, and decision you make—Continue, Delay, or Go Back.
- Preferences: onboarding state, delay options, custom pause text, schedules, and other settings.
- Wellbeing summaries: local daily history, trends, and reports calculated from pause activity.
PauseFeed does not read the content of other apps, messages, photos, contacts, precise or approximate location, browsing content, IMEI, or hardware serial number. It does not upload app-usage duration.
3. Data processed for purchases
PauseFeed Pro purchases are processed through Google Play and verified through RevenueCat. When you load offers, purchase, restore a purchase, or verify Pro access, these providers may process:
- purchase history and product or subscription status;
- transaction identifiers and Google Play purchase tokens;
- an anonymous RevenueCat App User ID used to associate entitlements;
- technical request information normally required to provide and secure their services.
PauseFeed does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Your selected apps, pause decisions, and wellbeing statistics are not sent to RevenueCat.
4. Android permissions
Usage Access
Used to detect when an app you selected comes to the foreground so PauseFeed can respond. It does not allow PauseFeed to see content inside that app. You grant and revoke this special access in Android Settings.
Display over other apps
Used to present the pause experience when a selected app opens. PauseFeed does not use it to capture other apps' content.
Notifications and foreground service
Android may require a persistent notification while foreground detection is active and notification permission for focus-related notices. The foreground service keeps the feature available under Android's background-execution rules.
Start after reboot and network access
Boot completion may be used to restore enabled detection after a device restart. Internet and network-state access are used for Google Play and RevenueCat purchase operations; core pause records remain local.
5. How information is used
- Provide the pause, delay, focus, history, and settings features on your device.
- Process purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether Pro features should be available.
- Prevent purchase fraud, resolve billing issues, and comply with financial or legal obligations.
- Respond to support requests you choose to send. Please do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for support.
Muye Studio does not sell your personal information and does not use your local digital wellbeing data for targeted advertising.
6. Storage, retention, and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in PauseFeed, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. From Settings you can export local history through Android's share sheet and delete local records and monitored apps. An exported copy is controlled by you and by the app or destination you select.
Google Play and RevenueCat retain purchase and transaction information under their own policies and applicable accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements. Deleting local PauseFeed data does not cancel a subscription or erase store transaction records.
7. Service providers and international processing
Purchase-related information may be processed by Google and RevenueCat in the locations where they operate. They act under their own privacy terms and, where applicable, as service providers supporting billing and entitlement management. We do not operate a separate PauseFeed business backend.
Information sent over the network uses encrypted connections. Android app data is protected by the operating system's application sandbox, and Android backup is disabled for PauseFeed.
8. Your choices and rights
- Choose which, if any, apps PauseFeed monitors.
- Revoke Usage Access, overlay, or notification permissions in Android Settings.
- Export or delete local PauseFeed data from the app's Settings page.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play.
- Contact the developer to ask a privacy question or request assistance concerning provider-held purchase data. Some transaction records cannot be erased where retention is legally required.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. We will respond as required by applicable law after reasonably verifying the request.
9. Children
PauseFeed is a general digital wellbeing tool and is not directed to children under 13. It is not a parental-control service. If local law requires a higher minimum age for independently consenting to data processing, that higher age applies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, service providers, or legal requirements change. The revised effective date will appear at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the app, the Google Play listing, or this website as appropriate.

PauseFeed is provided by Muye Studio. For privacy questions, use the developer contact method shown on the PauseFeed Google Play listing. This avoids publishing an unverified mailbox; a direct privacy email should be added here before a public production launch.
