Set up PauseFeed
- Complete onboarding and choose the apps where you want a pause.
- Grant Usage Access from the Android settings page opened by PauseFeed.
- Allow display over other apps so the pause screen can appear.
- Enable PauseFeed's detection switch. Keep its foreground-service notification available.
PauseFeed never chooses monitored apps automatically. You can change the list at any time.
The pause screen does not appear
- Open PauseFeed and confirm detection is enabled.
- Confirm the target app is still selected.
- Recheck Usage Access and display-over-other-apps permission in Android Settings.
- Make sure PauseFeed has not been force-stopped.
- If you recently chose Continue, a brief grace period may prevent an immediate repeated pause for the same app.
- Restart PauseFeed after an Android update or device reboot if the service did not resume.
Manufacturer background controls differ. Detection speed and reliability can vary by device and power mode.
Background reliability and battery
PauseFeed uses an Android foreground service while detection is enabled, so Android shows a persistent notification. The service checks foreground-app state locally and does not upload that activity.
If Android suspends PauseFeed, allow background operation or exclude it from aggressive battery optimization using your device manufacturer's settings. Only change settings you understand; unrestricted battery access can increase power use.
Export or delete local data
Export
In PauseFeed, open Settings → Export Data. Android's share sheet lets you choose where the exported text is sent. After export, the copy is controlled by you and the selected destination.
Delete
Open Settings → Delete All Data and confirm. This removes local pause records and monitored apps. You can also clear app storage or uninstall PauseFeed.
Purchases and Pro access
If you paid but Pro is not active, check your network, verify the same Google Play account is signed in, then choose Restore Purchases in PauseFeed. Purchase providers may need a short time to synchronize pending payments, refunds, or renewals.

Contact the developer
Use the developer contact method on the PauseFeed Google Play listing. Include your Android version, device model, PauseFeed version, the action you expected, and what happened. Do not include payment-card details, purchase tokens, or sensitive data.
To request deletion of your anonymous RevenueCat customer record, state “RevenueCat data deletion request” and include the anonymous App User ID shown by support diagnostics if available. Purchase records may still be retained by Google Play or a provider where required for accounting, fraud prevention, restoration, or law.
A verified direct support email should be added to this page before public production launch.
